A content managed website allows you to take control of your website. With a content managed website you can update the content of your site from a secure area.
There is no one size fits all with content management systems. Some sites are designed so that you can alter absolutely everything on the site whilst on others you may wish to simply alter products and product categories. Some sites allow you to enter content in context as if the web page was like a word document and in some you use a separate backend area to alter information.
There is often a trade off between having management of all the content on the site and having a richly designed site. It is also often the case that content management systems with too many features can confuse users.
For this reason we take a completely bespoke attitude towards website design and content management. Unlike many companies who will provide you with a massively complex off the shelf or open source content management system we won’t supply you with content management features that you don’t ask for and don’t need. Make no mistake though, advanced features such as multi-language sites and complex approval workflows for pages can be supplied. It simply means we won’t supply them unless you ask us to.
This approach to developing content managed websites means that you get a solution that is uncluttered and usable rather than something that is either too complex to use on the odd occasion or breaks every time you try to make a small change to your website.
