Databases
Almost all systems will require some kind of database to store information. We recommend Microsoft SQL Server as an excellent database engine. For smaller projects the free SQL Server Express project provides an exceptionally capable database. For larger projects we can utilise SQL Server Standard or Enterprise editions both of which scale exceptionally well to suit all requirements.
We have a wealth of experience designing, optimising and supporting instances of SQL Server 2000 and 2005 running very large databases.
