Global Insulation
Brief
Global Insulation offer a wide range of insulation products and services for domestic, commercial and industrial applications including home insulation, fire barriers, fireproofing, and internal insulation for solid walls.
Global Insulation contacted Inflecto Systems to develop a job management system to enable them to manage the jobs they are undertaking. A key aspect of the system was to enable efficient allocation of work so that the surveyors and installation teams were not travelling too far between jobs.
Solution
Inflecto Systems developed a completely custom web based application. The system includes these key components:
- Import functionality to allow the quick creation of jobs as they are received in bulk from various sources.
- Letter template mail merge engine and associated document management to create standard letters and installation documentation.
- Drag and drop diary system for quick allocation of jobs.
- Microsoft Virtual Earth integration meaning that jobs can be allocated based on distance from other jobs and jobs can be viewed on maps within the system.
- Billing module to handle the timely billing of completed jobs.
Outcome
The system is currently undergoing end user testing and we hope that the system will go live very shortly.
